A typical mid terraced late 19 Century 4 storey Chelsea town house. The property was unusual in that no planning history existed for it. The only work which had been carried out since it was built was the construction of a rear Mansard in the 1930’s. The original proposed designs for extension and alterations were rejected by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Detailed analysis and some revisions resulted in planning consent being accepted via permitted development rights. For a central London property this was indeed very rare.
